Guwahati, Assam – January 9, 2025 – XOBDO.ORG proudly announces the successful conclusion of its annual meeting held on January 8, 2025, online via Google Meet. The meeting brought together key members of the organization to discuss significant achievements and future initiatives.
During the meeting, the renewal of XOBDO.ORG’s registration under the Registration of Societies Act was announced. It is hoped that the registration would fostering a strong foundation for operational growth. The members unanimously confirmed the leadership team, ensuring continuity in their respective roles to drive the society's activities forward.
Key resolutions adopted during the meeting include:
-Enhancements to the Assamese-English Dictionary: Plans to refine and expand the dictionary, incorporating new words, audio pronunciations, and additional language features.
- Improving Website Usability: Engagement of a professional UX designer to enhance the website's interface and user experience.
- Development of the “Litikai” Tool: Upgrading the spell-checker tool using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for improved functionality and accessibility.
- Validation of Language Data: Efforts to engage native speakers for quality checking and expanding data for lesser-known languages.
- Establishment of Certification Programs: Introduction of certificates for Assamese-English translation proficiency and pronunciation, ensuring quality standards and value.
In addition, the society aims to boost awareness and participation through regular webinars, workshops, and promotional efforts utilizing various media channels.
